Paul : Lead Guitar
I got my first electric guitar at the age of 12 and spent many hours pretending to play a long with Cream and John Mayalls Bluesbreakers. It was a fantastic time listening to the likes of Clapton, Hendrix and Page pushing back the boundaries of electric music.
At 16 I joined my first band, Nuclear Airfield, and we gigged around Blackpool playing covers of bands such as Hawkwind, Bowie, Satus Quo and the Stones. It was good fun but it didn't set me on light. The blues were my real passion.
When I finished my A levels I went straight out and bought my first decent guitar, a Fender Tele. Life then passed me by until about 10 years ago when I re-kindled my interest in playing. I got out my my old Fender and found it had gone open coil on the bridge pick-up. Great excuse to buy anoher guitar and so I bought an American series Strat - fantastic played through a Marshall AV100. I joined the band with Roni around 1999 and we started gigging around. A PRS soapbar, a couple of Boss pedals and a RAT completed the rig - oh the joy of loud, upbeat precision blues. Enjoy!!!!
