Wessex Beer Festival on a warm autumn night is a great place to be. Loads of really good ale and cider and a crowd out for a good time. Great sound rig and crew and so the stage was set for an electric night. This was the first gig for NMF following the summer holidays and the autumn kicked off with a bang. Lots of old favourites - Help me, Talk to Your Daughter, Soft Touch and some new ones - She gives me the Shakes, I'm Worried and Back in The Night. It was great night leaving some members of the audience rather the worse for wear. For the band, the beer festival offered a number of real ale delights. The Prof on guitar kicked off the evening with a "Trashy Blonde" but quickly progressed to "Top Totty" where he stayed all night. "Top Totty" must surely be the finest ale at the festival. And in terms of music...... will "She gives me the Shakes" featuring Roni's blistering harp solo become an NMF classic????
